Learn how to make your own cold process soap in this fun interactive class!
Janet Stevens, Owner of Natural Farm Soap Co., will walk you step-by-step through the process.
In this basic level soap making class you will learn to make soap from a traditional oil blend and lye solution. This 90-minute interactive class includes all the ingredients to make a one-pound batch of soap (about four bars.) The class will touch on the science behind soap making, properties of different oils and tips and tricks for making your favorite soap at home.
Each student will receive:
You will learn safety guidelines and reach a level of comfort to enable you to make soap at home. The topics of lye safety, oil choices, fragrances, super fatting, natural additives, molding and curing will also be covered.
Come join us behind the scenes of a working soap making studio and learn the process from a certified soap maker.
After registering for the course Janet will call or email you to set up a convenient time for the class that works with your schedule. This class will be held at the Natural Farm Soap Co. soap studio located in Gastonia, NC.
